Looking For A Last Minute VBS Craft? Try Memory Cross

Need a last minute craft for Vacation Bible School? You may want to consider Memory Cross VBS Coloring cards! They are a great way to have the gospel message stick in the heads of the children and families that you are trying to reach.

A Memory Cross is a four panel interactive card based on an origami style. They unfold to reveal selected bible stories and verses. Some are bright and colorful and are used to share the gospel and aide in Scripture memorization, while others tell great bible stories that kids can color themselves.

For Vacation Bible School, they have coloring cards that are designed to fold like the originals, but look more like cool coloring book pages. They have some especially designed to match several of the popular VBS programs that are running this summer. They also have several coloring cards telling great stories of Jesusí baptism, the feeding of the 5,000 and more. Kids will love coloring them and after they are done will still enjoy flipping their creation around to show off the bible stories or verses to others.

Once the kids get started, you can introduce the regular card styles. They are designed so that if the children review the cards on a regular basis, they could learn 52 bible verses a year. The kids I have seen will pick up any one that is set in front of them once they figure out how much fun they had coloring the first one.

Many have been surprised to find that starting this creative craft leads to a VBS full of kids with heads full of verses who are ready to show their creations to all of Godís creation.
